[verso] Petrus Lombardus, Quatuor Libri Sententiarum was a standard university textbook until the 16th century. The layout of the page, with red and blue alternating initials, chapter headings, and marginal glosses on wide margin, is also typical of such university texts (cf. item 114). Written in a Gothic hand in brown ink on the page ruled in plummet. For provenance, see de Ricci, Census, I, p.646, no.185. [ョ recto] |
