[recto] Analytica Priora was a major university text of the 13th and 14th centuries. The layout of the leaf, with wide margins and marginal annotations, is also typical of university texts. The Aristotlean text is in Gothic bookhand in brown ink, while marginal and interlinear annotations are by a cursive hand of the first half of the 14th century. A 3-line initial ‘I’ in blue with paragraph marks in red and blue. Recovered from binding. Apparently mentioned by Frederick Madden in his diary (15 May 1825) which describes Bliss’s collection of fragments.
