Ezechiel 43:11-44:1. Written in rounded Gothic script. A typical layout for the Bible, with double column format, running titles and chapter numbers in red and blue. A new chapter beginning with a flourished initial 'E'.

In the early 14th century, East Anglia was the leading centre of the art of manuscript paintings in England. Richly illuminated MSS were produced at such places like Peterborough and Norwich, and to a lesser extent at Ramsey and Ely, where secular shops and great abbeys existed.
