[verso] Fine Roman script in the hand of Pierantonio Sallando of Reggio, who worked in Bologna for the Bentuogli and other partons from 1489 onwards. Abbreviations for versicles and resposes (V, R) as well as the beginning of each text are in red and blue alternating initials. A 4-line illuminated initial 'D' on deep red and blue foliage ground. Edges were apparently painted red at some stage. [ョ recto] |
