[recto] A fragment of an illuminated Psalter written in Gothic textura quadrata script. With a 4-line historiated initial ‘D’, alternating gold and blue initials, decorative line-filler in red and blue of a dragon (verso), a grotesque, a man in a church, etc. in the same hand as the scribe who did the versals. These delightful marginal drawings may suggest that the Psalter was made for a woman. [ョ verso] |
