[I-recto] 2 fragments of folio leaves written in Anglicana formata script, by a single scribe. New chapters are introduced by 3-line champe initials. An unrecorded MS fragment of John Trevisa’s Middle English translation of De Proprietatibus Rerum. The first leaf comprises of Book V, chapter 1 and part of chapter 2, dealing with the nature of body, while the second leaf is Book XVIII, chapters 62-65 on the nature of animals. The readings of this MS differ in some parts from the MSS cited in Seymour’s edition. [ョ I-verso] |
